Witnessing the miracle of growth firsthand provides children with a unique opportunity to understand the intricate beauty of life cycles. By observing our baby animals develop, students gain a gentle introduction to the natural world, fostering a nurturing spirit and academic curiosity that stays with them throughout their educational journey at the Discovery School kindergarten.
Working with animals also allows children to make real-life connections to literature that center around animals.  It helps them understand the differences between realistic stories and fiction.  Making connections to literature, creating their own stories,  and retelling stories is a wonderful foundation for early reading.
